When I first saw the article’s title, I strongly disagreed — guess it is an engaging title. However, after reading, I found you addressed the empathy question well and made a great point with: “Don’t take it personally” and don’t “expect others to care about [the] business as much as [you] do.”

Sometimes it is hard to understand other people’s actions. Why would they do such a thing, what were they thinking, etc. People are essentially good and do try/work hard, but everyone has their own issues, challenges, and motivations that you might be unaware of that could explain their actions/seeming lack of caring.
